While I may be off of social media I still keep up with what’s happening in the world so of course I heard about #HotGirlSummer. According to it’s originator Megan Thee Stallion “It’s just basically about women — and men — just being unapologetically them, just having a good-ass time, hyping up your friends, doing you, not giving a damn about what nobody got to say about it.” Well that’s a message that I not only support, it’s a message I have been living by for quite some time. I could probably write a whole book about the all the fun I had over my lifetime. (Maybe I will one day…) I think it’s great that women are living their lives unapologetically and outside the confines of sexism and patriarchy. I love to see women moving past all the oppression that has been placed on us. Women having fun has always been looked at as “misbehaving” because it’s outside of the control of men. Well fun is for everyone and I for one love seeing times change and women not caring what other people think about how they live. Honestly it’s about time.

So shout out to all of the #HotGirls out there! Live your life and enjoy it!! Don’t let anyone bring you down!
