Welcome to 2020!

2019 was definitely a transitional year for me. My life has changed a lot. I know I have been slacking on my blogging, especially for the last quarter, but it’s the new year and it’s time for me to get back on my game. So let’s get into what’s been going on in my life.

My Little Flower who is not so little anymore, started middle school. For the record, that middle school transition is not for the weak! Having a middle schooler is nothing like having a child in elementary school. You not only have to deal with the change in schools and amount of school work, you also have to deal with changes in your child. My baby is a pre-teen and well if you remember, being a pre-teen is pretty tough. Which means it’s also tough for the preteen’s parents. For the most part though she is still the wonderful child she has always been. It’s just every now and then I might wake up to a seriously moody child. I totally get it though, middle school sucks, so I take the moody days in stride. The way I see it, we are gonna make it one way or the other. 😂

Next big thing I was dealing with, finacially I faced the most challenging year of my life. Being an entrepreneur is also not for the weak! Wanting to be finacially independent and create your own independent income streams while taking care of a family is HARD. However as hard as it is I refuse to give up. And thankfully I can say I am still here, maybe a little battered and bruised but still here kicking because I am going to win!

2019 was also the beginning stages of my relationship. As many of you know I did not write about relationships in my book Date Like A Woman because I had not been in a healthy relationship yet. And if I was going to write about relationships I wanted to make sure I wrote about a good one. Lucky for me, I am in that healthy relationship now and we are still going strong. So you know the next book is underway!

Anyway, I will get back to blogging more regularly and I may even drop a video blog here and there!

So Cheers to the New Year!! Let’s get it in 2020!!
